The springer item in our play area at the Gutterscroft Playing Field which is intended for use by toddlers was damaged on Thursday, 29th May 2025, at 8:32pm.
CCTV footage shows and clearly identifies three individuals (males aged between 12–14 years) misusing the equipment, which resulted in the damage.
Although it appears their intention wasn’t to cause vandalism, their inappropriate and inconsiderate use has led to the breakage.
This incident will be formally reported to the Police and the CCTV footage provided, to aid in identifying those involved.
The Council welcomes those involved to make contact with the Council at their earliest opportunity so that an appropriate resolution can be reached.
The Council will now begin the process of repairing or replacing the damaged piece of play equipment.
